What do you like about buying books?

I like to explore the store. It’s relaxing to look through books. I like used bookstores that having aisle after aisle of books from almost every era and genre. I usually read fantasy/urban fantasy stories but I will still dig around the store of everything it has that may look interesting.

How often do you buy books?

I purchase a lot through the month. I usually “purchase” through Amazon their free books or anything on sale. I also get my books through Netgalley and Book of the Month (Though I have had to pause that).

Bookstore or online book shopping – which do you prefer?

If it is a book series that I am already familiar with or know that is exactly what I want.. I order online whether a digital copy or a physical copy.

If I am just wanting to find something different or go for a leisurely walk through a store then offline.

Do you have a favorite bookshop?

No! We have a lot of second hand shops where I live that helps a lot.

Do you pre-order books?

Namely only for Hailey Edward books. She writes series that I will buy based on the fact that it is her writing it and ..it’s on preorder.

Do you have a monthly book buying limit?

No. Thankfully, our libraries started opening up again so I can go pick up books from there. I don’t typically buy books but get them through my library. It is a penny saver — but with COVID I had to go to buying due to our digital library not having … in my opinion… great options. I’m sure if I figured the system out it would be plentiful.

But my library uses multiple digital book programs and some of them don’t pull up books so it’s frustrating. It’ll count it as “rented” so I can’t send it back to get something else or get it to load. I don’t understand why some of them are frustrating the way they’re created. While the ones that work don’t have a lot.

How big is your Wishlist?

I don’t really have a Wishlist anymore. I used to have one that I would post for birthday and for Christmas. But no one would purchase it and I didn’t follow the wishlist for books that I went and bought ANYWAY — I always just follow the price or sale or if something sounds intriguing at that moment.
