Portrait of an Artist: Frida Kahlo

Portrait of an Artist: Frida Kahlo

By Lucy Brownridge ; published Sept. 3 2019

Downloaded for free via Netgalley; of free will review.

Artwork: on point – very similar to Frida’s and allows children to be introduced to the style she’s famous for. Gorgeous, lovely to look over. LOVE IT.

Marriage & children topic: Frida wanted to have her husband’s children — or at least a child of his. It felt like an out of place feminist statement the awkward work/your passion before raising children / husbands.

I know this is meant for children so they possibly were going for an inspire. But either way this is a good book to bring Frida art and interest in the artist to kids.
