Do you get sick while reading in the car?
Sometimes I do, sometimes not. It depends on how bumpy the road is/ how much movement is going on. I live in Oklahoma so that’s a hard guess when carsick will happen due to reading or not.
Which author’s writing style is completely unique to you and why?
Currently, I think Marie Brennan’s with her The Memoirs of Lady Trent series. I still need to finish these books. I have a hard time finishing series that I enjoy and I know it’s the end.
Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Series? Give 3 points to defend your answer.
I’ve never completed either of these series. Well, Harry Potter’s first book I read a few years ago. So, Harry Potter? I’m not defending this answer with three points.
Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is it in (besides books…)?
not anymore
What is the thickest book on your shelf?
i don’t own many physical books. they’re not that thick so.
Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?
Yes, I currently write. I am hoping to eventually build up enough writing experiece/editing and what have you to feel comfortable enough to publish / be a part-time writer who publishes things.
When did you get into reading?
Kindergarten/first grade — I got the hang of reading fairly quickly. But I think I didn’t quite enjoy-enjoy reading until maybe the fourth grade.
What is your favorite classic book?
Jane Eyre. The teacher’s struggling to feel remorse for her because she wasn’t a very pretty child… hit me deeply and helped in a bizarre way…understanding why there wasn’t much in the way of sympathy for me growing up as a child. Should I have taken it that hard reading this book in the 6th grade??? Probably not but it is what it is.
In school was your best subject Language Arts/English?
In elementary it was. Once I hit junior high I started to struggle with every class due to depression. I didn’t start caring about my grades again until college. I wish I had someone or something to yank me into giving a shit before then. But y’know… life.
If you were given a book as a present that you had read before and hated…what would you do?
I would probably read it / keep it until the person forgot that they had given it to me… then trade it in at one of the used bookstores I shop at. No one in my family remembers to purchase me books for birthday/christmas. they always ask, I always say : BOOKS and what do I get?? anything but books.
Vampires or Fairies? Why?
I prefer vampires until the story introduces a strict/bizarre government with no leniency. I can’t stand most fairy focused shows. They irritate me.
Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?
Prefer shapeshifters. I like that they’re human and working through that.
Spirits or Werewolves? Why?
Spirits.. .like ghosts?? Bcos then ghosts. ..But I like both in a story, especially, if you can get them into the same story.
Love Triangle or Forbidden Love
Both. Even possibly forbidden love that is mixed into a love triangle. As long as they don’t get annoying I can handle both / enjoy both types of non-platonic relationships (Or even if they are platonic really).
AND FINALLY: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?
I enjoy an action packed story where they can create a loving relationship / relationships that match in the story. But I’m starting to enjoy full-on romance focused books as I age.
